OMG!!!!!!!!!!


W910 is the Flagship of the Java Wlkman Phone
K850 is the Flagship of Java Cyber-Shot Phone

and W960 not the Successor of W950 and that so clear by the the cheap plastic and looking of W960....

the real successor of W950 is moi which will be announced next year

we can say W960 is mid-range smart walkman Phone

we cannot compare W910 to W960 when
W910 runs JP8
AND
W960 runs Symbian UIQ

If you still want to compare there is somethings W910 wins over W960 and that is:
1- MUCH better build Quality
2- Faster System on W910 JP8
3- W960 Screen Washed out While W910 NOT!
4- W910 has programmable Sense me Application Which is built-in Walkman Player 3.0
5- W910 has motion Sensors works for Shake Functions and auto Orientation Function
6- and finally W910 is thinner and much better looking than W960

Well, here's my two cents' worth (I'm using both atm, green K850 + black W910) -

- both have Walkman 3.0 but W910 player also sorts by genre, date, SenseMe. In album view, Walkman 3 now sorts tracks by track order number, not by artist, then title. W910 also has visualisations but they're useless imo as they're the same size as the album art. Photo and Video sections of Media are identical between the two.

- very satisfied with cam quality of K850. Not so with W910; has green tint like P1 (went through three units before accepting the least tinting of the three.)

- music playback seems comparable, maybe slightly better in the Walkman model. I am only listening with HBH-DSS220. Both UI lags horribly when streaming BT (but I remember all SE phones are like that.)

IMO what I like about the K850: the new battery cover is a great design; brilliant it can take M2 or microSD cards (it's nice to have the choice); the directional pad (once you get used to it) actually makes text entry faster because your finger doesn't have to travel as far in choosing alternate words in T9; the plastic used for front & back cover seems much more durable (had a screen protector but it looked ugly, so took it off and no problems still knock wood).

What I don't like about the K850: impossible to keep the covers clean, esp. the front in between the keys; I'm constantly accidentally hitting the touch keys; the weight matches the status/price of the phone but still it's a bit heavy.

What I like about the W910: slide is very well solid; it's incredibly light; the feel of the metal sides vs. the plastic front/back; prefer its design over the K850 (personal taste); full Walkman 3 player; the matching red headsets in the red coloured model.

What I don't like about the W910: as mentioned, green tint in camera; cannot disable auto-keylock when closing slider.

Both phones have none of the hardware probs (save W910 camera) mentioned here. They're absolutely solid, no squeaking or jiggling here or there.

Finally for those who care, HK prices are:
K850, HKD4680
W910, HKD 3880

And for comparison:
T650, HKD 3780
P1, HKD 4380

as you have both phone which one has a louder loudspeaker

and i wonder if you you use W850 W580 W880 before ...... because I want to ask you about the Earpiece (headset) Sound compared to W910

if i was "forced" to choose between w910 and k850..i should take k850.

i listen to k850 MP3 player every day with my HPM-83 headphones...and the Bass sound is realy realy good..if i compare the sound with my w810..its little better bass sound on k850 (no lie)..sometimes the bass sound is nearly to much....(special if i listen to music with heavy Bass).

anyway...if you want 3.0 + a lot of music features... buy w910
if you want a awesome camera + 3.0...buy k850

edit....or wait to w960 comes...think it will rule bigtime..

Its happy that you understood finally that W910 does have more music capabilities ... You still have to admit that the build quality of W910 is better then K850 ...

(can i ask you something...have you ever tried k850 ???

i have tried both, and like i said before...w910 is NOT a bad phone...but more robust then k850...never.

ps......(i tried w910 for a short time, but i tried the chassis, keypad, etc).. see you.
