Should we really care if it's an STN or a TFT?
What matters after all, is the screen to look good and do the job well! As long as does the job I would be a very satisfied T610 owner.

Well it is not debatable, but one must compare apples with apples. SE's are but phones and are always loaded with the latest tech. Nokias are known for their durability, tech which is never followed by most manufacturers. Your average nokia cannot take two similar names, not user freindly, has always been bigger in size and heavy in weight, cannot sychronize automatically with CK 3000 Handsfree kit, limited BT capabilities, Poor speech quality, do they support pic phone book? I wonder. Most cellular companies use "bases" or "ARIALS" to operate a cellular telephony using ericsson hardware, I m not about the software but it goes without saying. My T68m cannot be compared for instance with the 6310/i cause they are miles are from pic capability, secondly did u notice that the key light on your nokia 8210 looks like that of a toy, compared the most ericsson phones e.g T28, T29, and even my old GH 688.
My submission is based on comparisons with phones i have used from both companies. Recently I mate bought a T68i after being Nokia faithfully. Belive he has fully admitted that SE is a better phone.

Saw it in one PC show. Is a STN. Phone is nice looking however, the screen the sure very bad due to STN. I saw the motorola which has a 4K color display. It is surely much better than T610.

I'm surprised nobody mentions battery life. SE blows Nokia away, especially with the T610's specs. Nokia might say their batter is competitive, but you're comparing a 4k screen to a 65k screen. Obviously more juice is required and SE meets the challenge.
Also, let's not forget form factor. Nokia's phones all have looked pretty much the same for the past five years. Except for the 3650, but I hate those buttons. And the ngage, but that's another story.

but there are 2 things SE should do if they don't wanna sell only 5 out of 100 fones in the world:
1. the most important thing, a GOOD marketing. Ericsson always consider mass customers as their enterprise-class customers. i'm sorry but i have to say Ericsson had a very BAD marketing to mass market. mobile world has been changed for years but Ericsson's still thinking their products r only 4 smart bussiness man. take look at Nokia and Samsung. they made great profits even when they're just selling shit. especially in China i have to say, it's horrible, and it's truth.
2.don't be that professional. there're lots of Telecom-guys around here. we all know that Ericsson runs at least 1 year before others. but mass customers dont' know. and the professional terms are not so clear as a simply "error" or "can't". in a Chinese forum one Nokia-fan said he likes Nokia 'coz "Ericsson might overestimate customers' intelligence." that's true for the nokia/samsung fans i think
so far i see SE's doing things better than Ericsson, and i hope SE could be Strong Enough in the future...

yup...7250 has 5mb of memory bigger than t610! but for me t610 still rocks off 7250's features.

i agree id much rather have a T610 then a 7250. id rather have a big screen more battery life and bluetooth then just more memory.
SE will allways be better at makeing good featured phones since Sony are in with them i mean look at what sony make and u cant go wrone and i think sony develope all the features and ericsson intergrate them since ericsson have made mobile phones for a long time when sony only realy got into it back in 2000 and most of sonys phones didnt sell that well.
