Once I bought a T68i that was blocked in the UK and brought it here and it worked! There has to be a link between the networks. Before in the UK there was only a link between two operators and then David Blunkit enforced all four operators to link up together to form a 'blocklist database'..

OK I am a little lost.
What is a IMEI?
I am guessing it is a code number thingy and there is not two the same.
If there were two the same what would happen if they both used on on the same network?

@P800_Zen_master
Look at it like a unique id for that particualr phone a serial number if you will *#06#
(your on a mobile phone forum and at 250+posts you dont know wat an IMIE number is???)
i dont want to seem rude thats not my intention

@lectrosoul
Sorry if I sound dum to you! But I gather it is a unqiue ID. I was a database admin a while ago. So I thought it would be a unqiue ID and this ID in such would be all different to all mobile phones. So if you have a stolen phone change the IMEI you could not get caught!
So I thinking it was a ID.....
Vlammetje stated at me:
Change ID? What are you on about?
which means I stand correct! and he was wrong. But I was not 100% sure! but you just backed me up!
@lectrosoul - about my posts and not 100% knowing what a IMEI means does not mean much here. Yes it is a phones Forums site. But like with computers, I was a computer programmer for a company that produced milarty equip. The programmers programmed, The hardware dudes did hardware. The hardware guys could hardly use win98! I could build a PC with ease but not what these guys were building. I am a software geek not a hardware geek! Most questions and answers here are about software of the P800. Most people doent even know how many mhz the P800 is? How much RAM it has?? How fast is the refesh rate on the display. But they all know how to use the phone better then the guys that designed the hardware! I am sure! I am sure the company that produced the camera in the P800 did not even know it was for the P800!
