The ipod hdds are made by toshiba; surely a p series phone could be built around a 4gb hdd as they are now (as in the 4gb ipod).
Its the logical step forward for mobile devices.

If only p9 had CompactFlash slot, Microdrive storage would fit there...

I'd give up my P900 WAAAAY before I give up my iPod.

My iPod has the soundtrack for my life on, over 4000 of my songs, it goes everywhere with me.

what does ipod do

+ play music
+ organise your music
+ Random play
+ Playlist Creator

Ok back to the point of the thread lol above is what the ipod does best and what so far the P900 cant come close to doing...

Anyone know any programs/apps that could fit on a memory card (128mb) with space for a fair few tunes.

then we'd have the best of both worlds and just have to giggle the tunes round once in a while...

Please i think we've run the ipod vs p900 into the ground wasnt meant to be the point of the thread lol

Anyway anyone know any cool apps that could help ?

Oggplay (www.geocities.com/p800tools) plays ogg files (great quality, smaller than mp3) and has an excellent interface similair to the ipod directory structure.

The thread starter wasnt comparing the ipod and p900, he was asking whether the p900 music directory structure was similar in ease of use and efficiency to that of the ipod, and whether the music playing capabilities of the p900 were good enough to substitute having an ipod. Which of course they are, but with an enormous difference in memory.

I know all this. I found it amusing all the other people raving on about how much better the p900 is because it has more features.
