But I've still to see all that coming for cheap. Havent come across a really cheap touchscreen based smartphone. People can get rid of the expensive parts like touchscreen, jog etc and hence come such comparisons. In that sense, all PDAs are unnecessarily expensive as a cheap digital organizer from casio can do most of the job

I dont know much about this Moto series... but if it does provide all this and is as cheap as 1/3 the price... then definitely it should sweep the market. On the other hand, if it has touchscreen but lacks on other features... then we are back to where we are.

As for me, I bought my P900 recently and hence not very updated or researching the lastest stuff right now. Thanks for pointing out to another series of phones.

sbjg, you posted this review of the phone yourself where it explicitly says, a few times as well that the moto e398 is a competitor for the k700 and it should be compared with it!! It says also that both of these phones are excellent and will become good hits. I read the review and I like the phone, but u just CANNOT compare those 2 phones (p900 vs e398(not even what the price is concerned)) cause they are not in the same class!

As for the topic name change.. hmm kinda useless.. yes, the e398 IS cheaper then the p900 and it should be then the k700 is also cheaper then the p900.

I don't think its a crap phone, i think motorola have done a good job to build a worthy competitor of the k700, and if this topic was discussing those 2 phones, I wouldn't be commenting on it.
