SEMC was created on 1st of October 2001. The T68i was launched end of May 2002 and was basically an Ericsson phone with a software upgrade (mms etc). The first phone to be jointly developed was the C1002s and I am sure this was launched in Japan before the T68i. There are pictures on here somewhere.
I don't think I have heard SE called anything but

I'll support this. Basically Sony is undoubtedly a giant electronics manufacturer, & ericsson is a great telecom hardware player. So the addition obviously a great one.

I would imagine that too. It is funny that both companies are still free to release their own respective handsets! And are also free to strike up deals with other mobile companies?

I more like SE than Ericsson, i really not interested to Ericsson product before, but when they team up with Sony, they really make a nice looking and fun phone, more multimedia features.
IMO, Sony and Ericsson will never success like now if they both never team up.
Btw, it really funny, look the ads of this side -------------->
