I have a bit of an issue... when I sync my K750i with my iBook, I get dashes or hyphens in some of the contact names. I know that someone has covered this before, but my searches come up with nothing!
Any ideas?

That happens if your contact uses only a First Name (no Last Name) or a Company Name.
The workaround is to add a Last Name to contacts with only a First Name, and split Company Names into First and Last Name fields.

Hi all!
Just got my brand new 15" Powerbook in and use VPC (Win2k) to create a backup of the P910.
The whole process takes about 2 or 3 hours and as I have no clue about Windows I was wondering if there is a way to speed this up????
Any ideas?

As I am not familiar with VPC. I used to use a P900 with my Mac and had no problems syncing. I rarely did a fullback up simply because, I think that a backup is sort of like doing an oil change and putting back the same oil. I would however recommend backing up phone books, and other important data.

Okay, okay, I know! I only pop back here when I upgrade my phone! But wow! So glad to see this thread is going strong still
And yes, just got a SE V600i on upgrade - excellent so far but a slight problem I hope someone can help with:
I want to set up the email to send/receive email via my ISP. I spoke to voda CS and they said there should be a GPRS option in the Data comm. section of the settings menu but there isn't

All it shows is PS data [selected] or CS data but no GPRS).
Any ideas? Hope someone can help out here.

Unfortunately, VPC is going to be slow on any system probably even the fastest G5: remember, it is *software* emulation so the OS overheads are huge. The consequence is any processor intensive task in VPC is going to slow things down. The only suggestion really is to allocate as much RAM as you can to VPC and see if that speeds things up.
Hope this helps.

I have been using my W800i with my Mac (Os X 10.3.9) without problems since I bought it.
However, after recent firmware uptdate with the Sony Ericsson Update Service, my Mac "hangs" a few seconds after connecting it to W800i via USB cable. It seems not to be like the crashing problem resolved using K750iGrabber.
I could:
1.- uptdate to Tiger and use K750iGrabber
2.- reload the original W800i firmware (R1L002), replacing current R1AA008 version
3.- search for an updated driver that works in Mac Os X 10.3.9 and W800i R1AA008
Any other option?
Thank's
