I took my iPhone back for exchange today, as the earpiece speaker was faulty. That phone was 1.1.4. The one they gave me today was from a new batch of stock, and it was 1.1.2! Weird!

yeah, the one I got for my daughter yesterday was 1.1.2. I upgraded to 1.1.4 and she has not left it alone since she got it!

the cpw guy I bought it from mentioned the O2 discount for these and it is very interesting and I guess right now it can't compare with BB for BB functionality but perhaps when the 3g version comes with V2 o/s it might make it more interesting for BB/exchange type people

Hi Voda Jon

I can highly recommend the Vaja cases as have one for my ordinary iPod although they are not cheap and i also got stung for £16 by customs they are quality cases. They have many designs and loads of colour options from which to design it yourself if you want something a little more individual and can be found here,

@dogmann... yeh looked at them a little too pricey for what i want really....

Seen one on a site the other day but forgot the site.... it was a metal one but was very very flush with the screen so didnt make it much more bulky than the phone on its own.

An finally got summerboard installed and themes goin on now

Im almost certainly going to buy an iphone today, but would just like clarification on one point. If the iphone i get is running 1.12 firmware, can i get it home plug it into my mac and just upgrade the firmware to 1.14 using itunes before using ziphone ?., and will ziphone unlock, jailbreak and activate my new iphone ?. Thanks in advance, i just want to be armed with all the information.

when I first connected the iphone I got I friday, Itunes wanted me to register it so I ran ziphone to activate, jailbreak and unlock.

when that I was done I could see that the firmware was 1.1.2 so I used ziphone to "prepare for upgrade", downloaded the 1.1.4 firmware using the link in ziphone and then used itunes to restore (pressing shift and restore) that firmware to the iphone

I then re-ran ziphone to actiavte, jailbreak and unlock again

possibly there is a quicker route but that worked for me. maybe after first connection of the iphone to itunes you can go straight to the "prepare for upgrade" and start from there
