mine is a proto too, and used to have a copper faceplate, but it was in a real bad shape, so i had to change to the only original i could find, and it happened to be an AT@T branded silver on, so right now my proto has the black keypad with a silver faceplate, but without the branding, cause i could take it off using some chemicals. it looks like unbranded now.

i had that mix too, silver and blask looks really nice imo. i never saw any other startup screen next ti the usually one, not even in protos. does your one got the rare games like tetris, jetduell and ballpop?

i only have Erix and Tennis. i also have hungarian language in the phone, but i think it's the updated fw. i probably would like to load the prot fw back, that's why i asked.

nothing else. the bt bug is interesting though: it can be turned on, but then it cannot be found with any other device neither can find any device, such as headset, other phone, computer, etc. but other then this, it works fine! I have a sim card in it, and it stays in it's desk charge pretty much always(not always charging). sometimes i take it with me, if i go to my girlfriend, or so.

sometimes it asks for the pin code, so i guess restarts, but that's all right, since it's not really in use, just kind of a shiney beauty in my collection that has to be turned on.

because i don't have any flasher, just a guy i know, but then i should visit him, and if i do, i would probably like the proto fw.

imo the proto fw isnt that good idea, cos its not that stable like the r4a008. of course it can have some bugs as well ( like the bt atm wiht your one )
