the IMEI is a real T29 IMEI as well... even though the printing quality isn't good, it might be a real one, the labels printed at servicepoints are often not as good quality as the ones coming from factory

seems like it points to asia, so my guess is that this FAC is used when the unit is manufactured by any of the factories in asia, cause it's not connected to any manufacturer... then they just print "Made by Ericsson" on the labels...

I am pretty sure it was not printed by Ericsson service point. Not because of only printed qualiy, but the sticker itself. I have seen many of T28, T29 and T39 refurbished.

this IMEI does not belong to a t29, that's for sure, neither not printed in a service point, because the service points have all the actuall dates to all thing, and all other parameters, so it must be a refurbished on.

If you ar really, really keen on testing your unit you could go to Sweden and contact Telia. They still have a working 450MHZ NMT network running with top coverage.
You'd better hurry because they're gonna close it down in 2008 I think....

Well, something new:
http://www.my-ericsson.de/galerie/ABP-10-homestation
The Ericsson ABP-10 homebase was introduced in 2000 as BT-homebase for Ericsson mobilephones.
It's connected to the phoneline and the mobile is attached with bluetooth. So it's possible to use the mobie as cordless phone at home.
Quite good idea like Siemens and other released it later.
I wasn't able to check it out right now, but I was already able to attach some phones to the Basestation.
Never knew that there'S a phone-symbol in the BT-Menu:
It's also possible to pair the Base with the new phones like SE K750 and they also still have the phone-symbol for the base.
While pairing the base flashes blue:
and after that it flashes red. I think the red flash indicates (like on DT2xx DECT-station) that there's no signal from the line.
I checked out different cables but it seems that there's a different layout for the line-connection. It should be only on two wires, but who knows. Maybe I'll find it out.
Would be funny to check out what range is possible inside with the base and a paired phone.
Anyway, a rare item for the collection!

Cool thing!
Was that product really released or was it only a prototype?
I assume your mobile needs a special firmware to work with the gateway since I never read that any SE or /// phone has any profile for cordless telephony.

Of course they made plans to use it with the /// phones. The question is whether it was only planned or also put in phones sold to the public. I dont think so
