The W950 is in stock on orange, free on all contracts £55 a month and over.

CPW don't do o2's own tariffs, which IMO offer better value.

I'm going to see what deals Orange has as I'm out of contract I did want to get it on Voda, but I have no idea when they'll be releasing it - and everytime I ask them, I appear to get a different answer.

I spoke to Orange customer retentions who said it's only been released for new customers at the moment, and it will take another couple of weeks for it to be tested further before it's released on upgrades! They obviously value older customers more then

I've had this thing since Friday now and the one thing that's puzzling me is the strange battery life.

It seems that if you have the walkman software running, even if you're not actually playing a track, it drains the battery. Fast. There's clearly a lot of power buzzing between the memories somewhere.

Not likely to last a long weekend without a charge, IMO.

HI There
Disturbing about the battery ...
this phone is supposed to be the best phone on the market on accounts of its battery life being so good!

I think the battery life is supposed to be excellent when the phone functions are off.

It could just be that the power meter is innaccurate - it wouldn't be the first time. The same thing happened with my K750 though. If I left it on the media player, even if it wasn't playing, the power used to drain heavily.

Just acquired a W950 from O2. Its great, very little branding and if you switch off Transitions its very quick. Memory leaks seem less of an issue. Will back-up, Master Reset, restore to see if performance gets even better and will try an SEUS upgrade as well. For business use I would recommend the M600 over the W950.
