i have notice also the change in firmware in generic world 1. Is this really the update? because if i update my M600, all those configurations will be lost. I have to setup the phone config again. SE update tool does not warn M600 if its already using the update version, chances are, its the same firmware, and all those config are lost.

do you understand what I mean? sorry for my bad english

Hi all
I have as you all have seen moved this thread here to the general forum and I hope you are not to upset with this.
I have no new info regarding any firmware updates for M600, nothing has been said so to speak. I do look at the general forum though it is not supported.

All the best
/Johan

Does not look too good for us M600i Users.
Can it be so difficult to release an extra Symbian FW for the exact same UIQ3 (P990,W950,P1i) - hhhm, just sad

I cannot jump from one tab to another with just the jog dial... Try it and you will understand what i am talking about...

I can not tell it by myself, cause i do not have a "generic world" phone, but another guy in the my-symbian forum says he tried it with no change.

I guess you guys misunderstood the answer the rep gave you: the update he was talking about was the last one it's been done more than a month ago. No other, SE was very clear about it.

You may change the brightness using Jog Dail easely. When you are inside of the Highlight settings section just go to the 3-rd point which is an Energy saving rate and then just push the # or * buttons and... you would be able to change the brightness using Jog dail.

I can not believe this! SE stop firmware updates on M600 and go for the last firmware for w850 and p990.

Its too sad that they released it first on James Bond movie as highly sophisticated phone and now its left out of firmware updates.

Poor SE. Poor Us M600 Users

hi,

you can use the arrow keys to move between tabs as long as the field that the cursor is not a list box.

try the following:

1. go to backlight setting in control panel
2. switch ON either handheld or car holder (the "power safe enabled" check box will be enable.)
3. scroll down to that check box and press the right arrow key. that will scroll to the brightness tab.
4. after changing brightness you can come back to the settings tab and switch off the handheld or car holder before saving the settings.

hope this helps
