if i was "forced" to choose between w910 and k850..i should take k850.
i listen to k850 MP3 player every day with my HPM-83 headphones...and the Bass sound is realy realy good..if i compare the sound with my w810..its little better bass sound on k850 (no lie)..sometimes the bass sound is nearly to much....(special if i listen to music with heavy Bass).
anyway...if you want

3.0 + a lot of music features... buy w910
if you want a awesome camera +

3.0...buy k850

Its happy that you understood finally that W910 does have more music capabilities ... You still have to admit that the build quality of W910 is better then K850 ...

W910 is def louder than K850 (on speaker) but the sound has way too much highs, very tinny. Reminds me of the W880 speakers. K850 speakers have a much more 'natural' sound; they would do fine if you had nothing else to output through.
Regarding headsets, can't really say as I very seldom use them (and haven't for a while). No recollection of the sound through W880 so can't compare.
BTW, forgot to mention that equalizer settings are now properly streamed through BT headsets (finally, for the non-Symbian phones)!
Oh, the W910 front buttons all light up in orange when you're in the Walkman player and playing music - very nice touch!

THe w880 had horrible sound, probably due to the fact it was so slim
Hopefully the w910 doesnt suffer from the same problem

wow what have i started here!
guess there was always going to be much talk about these two and there have been a lot of valid points made.
having had both phones for several days now i have come to these conclusions.
k850i - this was the phone i had always been waiting for as i had the k810i and loved it - unfortunatley i have been really dissapointed with the phone and no matter how hard i try i cant convince myself to keep it.
I have found the fact it gets so many smears on it and constantly having to wipe it a real bug bear. The phone i had (sim free version - unbranded) was full of anoying bugs, The touch keys were in some cases too sensitive and i often found myself pressing them by mistake - even with my ear durring calls!
The back of the phone does creak when pressed, you have to hold the camera a certain way and if you dont have it correct the quality of the pics is very poor.
There are some nice ideas in this phone but not enough to win me over.
I am now playing with the w910i and the design and feel to this phone is much better. The build quality feels much better also.
The camera is poor and i feel at the least SE should have gone with an auto-focus version with a light at the minimum.
Having now ruled out the k850i i am now making my choice between the w910i and nokia 6500 slide.
I have come to the conclusion now that i will not put too much weight towards a camera as i have a 8.1 w100 cybershot camera. I will not put too much weight also towards a music player as i ahve one of the new ipod touch.
I am looking mostly at build quality, general functions and looks.
On this basis i think i will end up going for the nokia but will make my final choice when it arrives on Monday and that way i can compare it directly with the w910i

But you have to keep in mind, that the 6500 slides main selling point is probably its 3.2mp camera w/ autofocus
Thats really its main feature besides its metallic body
Also, maybe its just me, but doesnt the phone have to work a little bit harder to get signal if the phone itself is housed in metal?

well i have come to decide that the camera and walkman phones allthough good in their own right just dont offer me the same or near level of performance as my dedicated camera and ipod player. I knew they never really would but hoped i could get an all round package i would be happy with and thought the k850i was it but sadly not.
I have now decided to go for a phone that i like the look off, has good buil quality an a good level of features.
I think the nokia 6500 slide will give me all this.
Great build, good feel in the hand, nice screen, decent music player when used with sennheiser headphones, 3.2 mp autofocus camera. It kinda offers all i am looking for.
The w910i offers most of these except the camera (only 2 mp and no auto-focus)
