@Caspa
Finally SE took all the phones back then! They should have done this ages ago!
You think that all the phones CPW get from now on should be hiss free reworked then?

To any CPW employees
I have been told the SE took all the stock back and have performed a software upgrade to re-work the phones. Does this mean the stock is the same as before with a software upgrade?
Could someone enlighten me please.
Thanks

Doh, didn't read Caspa's earlier message.
After examination of phone looks like it has been repaired(I think) as it's got fingerprints. Too late to test now as they have already arranged a replacement to come to me tomorrow. Will test it and let you all know if it's one of the repaired batch.

Could not get CPW to verify the manufacture date or revision before paying for a T610, so I went to Phones4U in Windsor and picked up a sim-free/hiss-free T610 for 275 pounds! (03w21 R7A)
Sound like a good deal ????

Sounds like a very good deal!
I payed £300 for my sim free, non hiss model (inc dodgy on/off switch)!
U know what irratates me, this phone can now be bought on Vodaphone Pay as you talk for £229 (link stores)!!
a. even more people will have access to this phone (so much for exclusivity)
b. £70 quid difference - grrr....
c. They'll just get it unlocked for a minimum off 10 (that sounds like the way to go to me)!!!!!
However I must admit, as I have just bought this phone I now look at other peoples phones to spot another T610 - strangely enough I aint seen one, and ive had the phone for just over a week! weird.....
