same here i'm, going with the 9500 back to nokia again.. don't compare windows because it's a software ugrade (how i wish se could do that in our phones). and for anybody waiting for P1000, maybe this will be next: P920,P930 - P990 and who knows what minor changes they will put and let you buy the new phone again.

I really don't know why se have done this, they should have concentrate on the P1000 to have it available sooner. and not to upset people who have a P900. with a minor ugrade it's not worth buying with people who has a P900.

To get a phone better than P900 in the market. People can now buy P900 as they always did, and can also consider P910 if thats what they want. Whats wrong there?

Those who are ready to upgrade are upset. They can consider as if this one never came out (since its not an upgrade for P900)
Those who just look out into the market for the best phone will still find P910 worthwhile.
On one side people claim SE didnt put effort into this, on other they say SE put effort into this instead of P1000. Paradox.
As per my understanding, whatever has been upgraded in P910 is definitely going to contribute to building of P1000

Precisely. I dont know if you understand that or this statement was an accident

EXACTLY! That is the perfect example. This pisses me off like Windows ME pissed me off, although I expect the P910 to work much better than Windows ME did.

Windows ME was a shitty excuse for an upgrade much like the P910 will be. It may have more a features and a new interface, but it isn't worth the price to upgrade. (I would like Duo PRO support though - that is cool.)

I try to understand this "problem" and this is my opinion.
The P series is a very extravagance and expensive smartphone.
SonyEricsson invest a lot of many to development this handset and becouse of that this series are unique and so much expensive (to much to me).
There are no perfect but there are close enough.
When you bay this exsclusive tehnology you must spend a lot of many and you must be aware that you will lose a lot of many when come new P series.
Becouse of that a lot of users are "piss off" when a P series are upgrade (I would be), they lose a lot of many and don't have any more "best handset in the world" (although that changes are minor).
So if you dont have a LOT of many and don't need to impress you boss at work don't bay a latest P-series. At least not for few more years.
From my point of view I hail every new handset from SE, now their range of mobile phones look much more better than year ago.
Regards to all.

Its not really an upgrade tho really its just an upgrade of the p900 not the p*00 line. A bit like nokias upgrades of the 7210-7250i and the 6610-6610i that sorta thing. Thats why things like a megapixel cam arent there theyr just trying to boost sales a bit more on the p9** line before the redesigned super phone upgrade.

Erm hope you get wot i mean lol dont really make sense...but i know wot i mean! (wu-hoo)

To me it is an real upgrade.
MS duo Pro, 262K screen, qwerty keyboard, new software
that seem to me a larger step than P900 have with P800 (65k TFT screen, new software and a step forward into design).
A lot of people think that this is not a real upgrade becouse of the simular design (mayby the same part) and a little time pass after presentation of P900 (couse of that his name is P910).
I now that future "P1000" will have 1.3MPix camera, diffrent design (maybe smaller and lighter) etc, but for that will take a lot of time and in the meantime P910 is a great bridge to that.

@maki101 - The memory, screen, and software are all things that should be expected to be upgraded, the only actual *advancement* is the qwerty keyboard imho. The screen, memory etc are only refinements, with a new phone you should expect new technology, more than is on offer on the p910. We were expecting something fresh and exciting, which is why a lot of people are disappointed.

Ok guys, i have read the posts and appreciate your views on these two gorgeous phones but i have a question?

Singlepoint have rang me and told me i can get an upgrade... cool i thought and pushed them for what i could get. bear in mind i got a p800 free this time last year. now i have wanted the p900 for almost 6 months and looked at other contracts to get one for free or as close as possible. I struck a deal with single point for 3 months free line rental on a 500 min tarrif. and the phone for 50.(p900) but i want a p910i now but i will have to wait. and proberbly spend a s**t load more.

My question to all is, is it worth the wait and the extra expense?
