yes, maybe.
the t630 was an upgrade of the t610
i WAS 100usd more than the t610
it should have had around 4 mb and a vga cam atleast
then it would have been perfect
ppl would say, why buy the k700i then.
the k700 should have had expandable memory and mp3(which it has)

that would have made SE on the top according to me

WeŽll never find a perfect phone, beacause weŽll always find something to complain about them.

Nothing perfect in this world, the phone too, technology growing so fast, and who can or want make the perfect phone ? P800 was a perfect phone 2 years ago, and now it has 2 better brother P900 & P910. why we still hope for a perfect phone, who can buy such a perfect phone if it so expensive, we know for a new technology, the company must invest so much money, not just the technology, we must think about how much will cost on design, material, survey, etc.. etc.... etc...

And for the one who say S700i bad while the price is so expensive and its not a smartphone compare to Nokia's. Hei, not all the phone must belong to you, you call it bad because it not a smartphone, but i call it good because it was not a smartphone, i didnt want smartphone anymore, i used to have P800 but now i wanna simpler and easy to use phone so i choose K700i, remember all peoples neccessary are different.

every company gives up on a couple of important features on their phones because their upgrades will hav them and hense more sales

what whiz is tryin to say ( i think) is that SE make compramises on the wrong things. im taking the example of the nokia 6230 and k700i here.
nokia have give up the screen for expoandable memory where as SE have everything but expandable memory!
i think thats whats pissin off many SE users and thats y there are so many 'loopholes' in their products

@Kooki,

Sorry but I disagree. Whiz has done nothing but complained about the price of the phone in India. Sorry if he can not afford one but the bottom line is that if SE can charge a zillion dollars for a phone and people will pay for it, then so be it. Some people, Whizkidd, will be left out in the cold. This is the basics of supply and demand. As I said many times in this thread, some people are willing to pay a premium price for the phones and will. This is just part of life.

The difference is just having the tecnology or special features before the rest, if you have the money to afford those special features at the time they're released then you're a lucky one, but if you're like the rest of mortals you'll have to wait until they're implemented in mass consumer sets.

I don't think that manufacturers leave some features on purpose to have something to upgrade later, is just that tecnology advances so fast that when you've finished all the steps until final production of a model, you've new technology that could be implemented, so you put it on and upgraded version.

Right! And I wouldn't be sorry bout giving 50-100 euros more for a phone without this "stupid" left outs.

I'm glad you can afford everything you like, just imagine how would you feel if you were like "poor" whiz left out in the cold. Probably you would't want to hear things like 1 you say.
2nd of all I don't think whiz wants s700 like yours for 50e, instead I tend to think he wants smth like k700 with mc slot for say 350e

@Blayv,

I am sorry that Whiz is where he is but this is nothing that I can do about. I work with many people from India that have left their situation and are walking about with k700's and some waiting for the s700. My thing is this, SE has no obligation to put all of their eggs in one basket when designing phones. If they did this, you can bet Whiz would be back here complaining that the basket is not big enough and something else was left out that should cost only $20. Maybe I am misunderstanding him but I feel that he is complaining because the particular phones that he wants are not cheap enough for him to purchase. This is life.

Second, I can not afford everything that I want, but I can afford a s700 and a k700. This is too is life.

Third, this discussion is pointless. Nothing is going to change. SE will not reduce the price and I agree with their biz model. If I were them, I would not reduce the price if people are willing to pay premium prices.
