Yes I did, when I wanted to change the shortcut menu, it did not open, so I have to accept the shortcuts-list like it is in the original settings....but this is not so important for me anyway.

i talked my friend ( he worked for /// as a helpdesk service man once ). he told me, that after a certain time the brands give away the protos, if they are sure, that a model wont be released later, so its possible, that a former /// worker got it, but who knows, how it came to switzerland

Many thanks for that information! That explains the first part of the the story, remains the fact that I found the phone in the french part of Switzerland....

Yes all my handsfree accessory works fine, then the Infrared port too. I also have a bluetorch lamp, and a laser pointer, no problem with these.

great

i serched for more specs, but nothing on the internet ( yet )seems it was "just an idea" by ericsson and this is the result of some experiments ( just as for example the r520 umts proto )

not many imo, maybe 10-15 just for the tests. the only limited rarity is the r320 titan afaik, 50 pieces was made as giveaways, but thats another story

Sorry Boba but I think you are wrong!
The R320 TITAN was just a new housing for an existing phone (R320s).
BUT the R320 GPRS is a complete new platform with GPRS hardware and software. There has to be a lot of research to build such a phone and Ericsson announced this phone to be the first prototype which supports GPRS data-connections.
So the intention of Ericsson was to show the network-operators what would be possibl if they would offer GPRS for the customers.
This means, that the network-operators would have to spend money in developing and research for the new feature in the network.
If Ericsson wouldn't have give lots of these protos to the operators they would have said: Okay, GPRS is a good and usefull system.
So they MUST have build hundrets of them but most of them have found a place or which is more reliable, have can crashed after the test.
I know from a friend of me who work for Telekom Austria, that all new handsets they got for tests will be destroyed after some time of usage.

@tiger thats a good point too

imo my friend told me what he have heard in that time, it was years ago. didnt thought of it that /// gave those protos to the ops as well, thought they just tested it on their own, as they have their own sytem. when i was in lund with threex, he seerched and had access to some really weird ones ( somehting with 39 was one of it ).
