Other protos? It seems impossible to me to know where all those fones have gone...I mean, maybe somebody from Ericsson has an idea how many protos were built, but where they are now...? I would like to know but it's impossible.

The FM Radio for my R320 is great and makes it feel like a modern phone...smile

Spotted on eBay and wasn't sure if it's of any interest to the collectors here.
It's a 'new' A1018s going for £15.00 on BIN.

i am still wondering, how was the recall story of r520. they sold already some before the recall ( afaik ), so they contacted all the buyers to give it back or they let it as is is and asked for them for a fw upgrade?

Recall action for Ericsson R520-mobiles

After a report of Ericsson the first supply of the new GPRS mobile phone should be afflicted with a software fault. This is to lead to far shorter standby than indicated in the specifications. German customers are however not affected by this problem, since this charge went only to Retail dealers into Sweden and two other European countries, told Monika Rubensson opposite heise on-line. Ericsson is already on work to exchange the incorrect devices by recall action.

I hope you understand the text because I only have german details about it, posted on www.heise.de and tried to translate it for you.

Here's the original text:
