Well from announcement (mid-February) until April isn't too long 6-10 weeks? Which isn't so bad I suppose but yeah, it does seem as ready as it will ever be. If it takes 3-4 months for us to get our grubby fingers on, like phones have before, then that would be infuriating.
They need to get it shipping quickly and with a good selection of games which can take advantage of the special hardware controls in order to get the ball rolling.

Why can't they fit a smallish qwerty (SE P1/Blackberry-size) between the game controls. There is plenty of room. That WILL be a killer feature. I would get that over any slide out qwerty phones, even if I am not that into games.

Have you even handled a samsung and/ or LG smartphone? They feel like slightly polished turds with a baboon's butt for a UI. The X10, for all its limitations, is a much better device to use on a daily basis. There's more to a device than paper specs and FFS, realize that and stop whining prematurely.
It's funny. I have SE X10 and LG Optimus 7.
Xperia looks cheaper.
