@jojo:
I can only speak for the german market since there are big regional differences. Here the R380 would be a little more worth if the condition is the same. It is a quite usefull phone, especially if you have the R380e firmware flashed. The only disadvantage is the batterie's standby time (max. 3 days at normal usage).

There is another point that would lead me to accept the deal: There are a lot of T68 offered at eBay so I could get a new one anytime. The R380 is much harder to find in good condition. The few ones that are offered are usually in bad cosmetical condition.

@boba & rose - Thanks so much ! I think our co-member: Bart is selling his Ericsson R380 way back (or just now)

I am still wondering what are the MAIN function of the TOUCH-SCREEN feature then? i know it can read maps . . . does it have a GPS-function?

Hi jojo

I guess its worth it come to think of it there are still lots of T68's compared to R380's here where we are. Just go & check for reception problems & go woth the usual drill although the R380 does'nt have any service tests to my knowledge.

Check for the battery lifespan too because there a real big difference if you're gonna compare it with the T68m.

Good luck

coming across a fully working R380 is already hard...finding a battery is even harder (even a second hand one). Battery life for good conditoned second ahand units are normally 1-1&1/2-2 days the max (noraml usage)

Battery consumption is quite a lot due to its large display & touch screen function. But regardless, the R380 has always been a standout during its time even till now...to my knowledge there are very few to no additional applications you could add to the EPOC OS but its hand writing recognition well compensates the pleasure of owning one.

...my opinion? GO FOR IT...is it complete?

@*Jojo* i think that's a great deal! I wanted the R380s but was sold out and I settled for the R320s. As for the battery you're sure going to struggle like I'm struggling to find one for my R600 that died in decembed last year after 4 years of use. Ironically my R320s' battery is still working after 6 years of use.

@Boba- BSL-11. I actually bought a generic one last year as I was afraid the original's time was up but it refuses to die. The only thing is the standby time has decreased by about 40 percent other than that it's still fine. It's also funny that I could find a battery for my gh688 which is older than the R600. I bought that this year last month for my trusted gh688.
