Not a fan of the Play's multi touch strip, you won't get any feel from it so it makes it difficult to be accurate unless it has force feedback or something clever. If the games are like PSP ones, you would spend most of the time on the d-pad. If games on this are more advanced, you'd use the touch pad more so we shall see.
From what I have heard
(you are more than welcome to dismiss everything that I say), Sony have done their part in terms of getting a decent games list. The game developers on the other hand have made games based on the available hardware which is down to
while Sony market PlayStation heavily. They could have easily called it the PlayStation phone but that shows a lack of confidence.
If things do go badly, Sony will distance themselves very quickly. Sony are doing
a big favour by lending them the PlayStation branding and helping with marketing. It doesn't mean that they like them or have belief in their abilities, just ask Sony Cybershot and Walkman people; those ties were cut a while back. I know that there 'could be' Exmor or a 16MP camera in the phones but realistically, if Sony were to work closely with
they would easily have the best camera phone and music phone; new Walkmans have karaoke and lyrics function and Asians LOVE that but not on an
though. Each company operates individually which is a real shame.
Still, if things go well we could have some more collaborations and just maybe, a high end Android designed like the old classic Walkmans (made like a Sony player of course) which is what I've waited a number of years for with no success.
