you don't seem to understand that Ericsson continue their business outside of mobile phones and therefore still attend shows like this...
Then you're making the same mistake that I made...
Ericsson still does develop en make phones:
**I'm uploading Ericsson Prototype photos I made today**
Today I had a long discussion with a Ericsson R&D Employee and discussed enough about Ericsson... I had the best time I had on the CeBIT!!!

someone told me that if things like that occur . . . removed the SIM card . . . SCRATCH the gold-plated tins on/against your jeans for about 5-times, sideways . . . and VOILA . . . it worked !
@Jojo:
All that happens is that the overpowered PA can cool down when you turn off your phone for cleaning the SIM card contacts. After this short periode the phone has to book in again and that's all why you have access again. Your problem has nothing to do with your SIM card since bad contact to the card's pads would only give you a "insert sim" error. Try another SIM that works on the same band or just switch off your phone for a while and you'll see that it doesn't make a difference if you clean the pads or not.

@ginz - Is that a mobile-phone

Looks like a portable DVD player mate
@rose - OK, it's just that that is what I'm doing most of the time if I can't remedy the problem by just turning the phone OFF and ON . . . thanks!

That Ericsson is still developping phone platforms. This platform, for example will be bought by SonyEricsson soon. SonyEricsson will adapt this platform to there thoughts (Like putting M2 instead of MicroSD) and give it another formfactor.
Ericsson also sells platforms to LG, Sharp and Samsung..
I also asked if I could buy it. His answer: Yes, for half a million
BTW. I've never been away and still a big collectioner.
