excactly...

But, it always have been that way... Ericsson develops and SonyEricsson (or the other brands) adapt them there choises and sell them with there name on it.

I will try to keep connected with this R&D employee of Ericsson. Ifso, I can get more information and pictures of this prototype platform...

what did the guy told about these on cebit?

That Ericsson is still developping phone platforms. This platform, for example will be bought by SonyEricsson soon. SonyEricsson will adapt this platform to there thoughts (Like putting M2 instead of MicroSD) and give it another formfactor.

Ericsson also sells platforms to LG, Sharp and Samsung..

I also asked if I could buy it. His answer: Yes, for half a million

BTW. I've never been away and still a big collectioner.

New service on my website:
I added a spare parts database at http://www.e-zones.net/teile.php .
Maybe it's usefull for one of you. You can search by using multiple words.

No, I don't think there is more information online...

Also I nice thing..

When I studied the device, I noticed a texture on the display that indicated a touchscreen. When I asked, none of the available Ericsson employees could tell me the answer. Not because they didn't want to share the information, but because the didn't know. Another employee came with a stylus and tried to use it, but the device was not responding.

Other intresting details:

It was equiped with a MicroSD slot
It was able to use the MMBS system
I thought it had a touchscreen
It has the SonyEricsson fastport (you can see it at the picture
It had a little fan on the underside.
It stood on a Ericsson deskstand, also equiped with a little fan.
It could handle questions and polls sended from the HSDPA network

Service Menu was not available and the employee told me that it probably was not yet implanted into the device
