That was big of you. I take it he's an amiable chap because if somebody did something like that to me, they'd be picking their f*****g teeth up for days.

I've always been in favour of separate areas myself, I still can't understand why the government insists that totally segregated areas, with proper doors and extraction system are unacceptable?

We were given a talk at school today about the smoking ban coming into place.

Apparently some teachers may act more like an arsehole come next week and how the certain group of smoking students will permanently excluded instead of just a monthly or termly exclusion if caught with matches, lighters or fags.

excluded for having a lighter!?!?! thats totally none of there business! what if you wanted to go to church right after school and light some candles in memory of a lost one.....

anyway all those smoking teachers are going to act like theyve got the hump, theyve just had one of there freedoms and liberties taken away from them.

dont know if its been said in this thread, but from the 1st of this month smoking has been banned in all venues. pubs/clubs, gaming areas etc etc. Only allowed to smoke on the street, or the venues must have a secluded smoking area (closed) off. Its so much cleaner going out now, when i get back from clubs, my clothes dont smell at all

I'm pleased this has happened why should non smokers have to put up with the smell and passive smoking. I'm quite happy for people to smoke outside but glad i don't have to put up with it in enclosed places. The government finally got something right for a change.
