Nokia, Samsung and Moto would score way above SE any day of the week, SE just don't do enough radical things, Nokia win for it's sheer ability to show horn anything into a phone, Samsung are constantly pushing the boundaries on what camera you can get in a phone and moto always win for their design and workmanship.

SE need to pull their fingers out if they are gonna win any proper awards...

Moto and Samsung above SE!!?? Are you having a laugh? Name a high end model moto have. Samsung have the d900 as there flagship model and you have the nerve to say SE are no way above them?? Nokia and SE are at the top of telecom end of story, even if there releasing crap at the momment.. Also fatreg, obviously you havent been on the website in along while. On the hopage awards are listed and SE have had the best handset for 3 years running, what you mean by awards I dont know

when u look at the marketsaher, they are above se, no question. i myself think that samsung and moto are just cheap toys in average, but thats another story. so fatreg is right. its one thing, what u like and another what the sales reflects.

look, the only way we can say that a certain company has so much tech is by looking at their products, you just cannot say it unless you have a product that shows it. SE currently has no product of such kind. i am not saying they dont have the tech, i am saying the only way they can show that tech is by showing us a phone that has it. since they dont, its like they dont have it.

HELLO WAKE UP AND HAVE A LOOK AT THE PRODUCTS HAVE IN JAPAN,they obviously prove that they have better tech out than nokia but like some members have stated the problem is that they haven't chosen to give it to the rest of us yet it's about marketing that's why separate phones for everything...

having an ability is something else and market share/awards/popularity are something else....

Nokia is like Windows, but SE is like UNIX anybody will tell u the sec festures in UNIX are the best, also it requires a tech brain to operate an SE phone,I have been told this by many people, they just dont understand how to operate SE phones..

Moto and Sam are just fillers

I guess, its this way,SE does not release phones that frequently but whatever their products are,are quite throughly tested,

I guess the real competition is betwenn Nokia ans SE even if Nokia has 31% market share and SE just 8%

The truth is people have not understood SE at all.........

Guys need we say more........take a look at this......

IN A LAND OF TECHNOLOGY LIKE JAPAN WHICH HAS RISEN FROM THE ASHES,NOKIA FINDS NO PLACE.........

Sony Ericsson ranks in at no:3 in customer satisfaction among 11 mobile phone handset manufacturers in Japan for a second consecutive year, according to the J.D. Power Asia Pacific 2006 Japan Mobile Telephone Handset Satisfaction Study.

Now in its third year, the study measures overall customer satisfaction with mobile phone handsets based on eight factors: design/size; battery; quality; operability; e-mail; camera; display; and Internet.

Receiving the highest ratings from customers in battery, operability, e-mail and camera, Casio ranks highest with an index score of 656 points on a 1,000-point scale.

Mitsubishi Electric follows Casio with a score of 636 points - a 28-point increase from the 2005 study. With unique products and features such as sliding covers and large liquid-crystal displays, Mitsubishi Electric performs well in design/size and display.

Sony Ericsson, which incorporates functions that allow users to play music with their phones, ranks third overall with a score of 631 points.

This technological advancement, developed by SE, when applied to the global market won't make a big leap towards SE's market share increment because people are get used to the common technologies like Wifi,GPS,3G,HSDPA and are not familiar with those technologies SE japan provides, one example is the S700 in which it didn't make as good sales as K700 does. bear in mind that S700 is developed "solely" by Sony in japan features a Sony CCD sensor, a module only seen with sharp and some samsung models and never seen on nokia and S700 is one of the first "international" phones to have QVGA screen.

That could be the reason that SE releases some of its advanced models only in selected markets........

This aspect makes it difficult for SE to have a high market share
