No offence matey but Orange have only just pulled their socks up in regard to releasing phones early. I remember the days when Orange was touting tin cans with strings as the latest thing whilst the other networks were pushing lovely looking phones (for their time).

no i agree with you...but disagree in that they have pulled their socks up... this is a one off that they have a new handset...the only other one to mind is the Panasonic x70...which any pansonic fan will tell you is utterly crap for an updated version of the gd87.

The fact that the p800 is still £250 plus on an upgrade....well the p900 is a reasonable prics if it is £300.

Ok, today I went round all the phone shops in manchester.

Only 2, yes 2 shops had even heard of a P900. Orange and phones4u.

CPW told me there is no P900 and i was thinking of P800 or Z600. Vodafone just sed get the GX20.
The Link on teh other hand, well I had to fight to get out of there. I ended up with 2 guys trying to get me to get a contract anyway with the old SPV E100.

Guess teh moral of the story is never get ur phone off the high street!

Yeh I had a similar problem, last week. Only the Orange shops in Plymouth now anything about it. And they are totally different in what they tell you. The one @ the bottom of town is great and everytime I go in they make an effort to find out the latest news, show me release forms etc. But the one @ the top of town is the opposite, they don't even bother looking / or checking, last time I went in there, on Monday, I was catagorically told that Orange would not be getting any P900s until December!!

I'm off to the one @ the bottom of town, to buy my p900 2moro. I hope they've got them in stock.

£385 good enough for me.

OK, i got one on Orange Your Plan400 from CPW 08000490049 to be delivered tomorrow, i took the advice from this thread & asked CPW to get as near as they could to the http://www.onestopphoneshop.co.uk/ price, £69.99 + £50per month (but "onestopphoneshop" wont get them for 2 weeks)

So CPW gave me the phone for £100 (normally £150) on a £50 contract for first THREE months & £15 for remaining 9 months, TOTAL price £385.

(i checked this 120 day minimum period before downgrade, with orange)

I will not be using the sim, so the free minutes make no difference to me, i use a OVP Orange sim.

I was (as I think you were) expecting P900 would be in Orange shop today.
Any idea when they will get them in?

My local Orange store (Luton) received a delivery today, couldn't resist. Yep it does carry Orange logo but not had time to play to see how much or if software changed.
