Thanks for that, but oranges terms were never in doubt were they? I was only worried about CPW clawing back, but as we know they dont do that there is no problem.

all i need is a shop with them in stock! Arghhh....

Orange's t +c were never in doubt!

i do believe i had them spot on! well for retail stores only.

for the dude that asked;

OSPS = One Stop Phone Shop

Orange CSD = Orange Circuit Switch Data, to which i presume that person meant Orange HSD which is a tariff Oragne do Orange High Speed Data.

To vermania, you can change to OVP Vigin but you WILL be charged £10 a month line rental.

hope that helps you wee ppl!!

Sorry, just stating it.

I went into CPW today, and asked them about it 'No it's 6 months minimum contract' hmmmmm. I ask them about it, telling them that in the Terms and Conditions it says nothing of this sort. Then they resorted to ganging up on me, and questioning my resources. Which then i told them i had more than one source, and then they still denied the fact that i could change my tariff after one month.

Bastards!

Is this speaking from experience?
Right if i do, should i follow these steps?
Get the phone, on YOUR PLAN 1000
set the billing date to ten days after purchase.
get home.
change Tariff to least amount (10)
then ten days i should only have to pay a percentage of the first months (100 pound)
There we go... perfect!

(oh i'll probably pay the 11months off in full, then unblock the phone)

Should that all work fine?

Well having read all the posts I got home tonight & got a welcome type letter from Orange which stated that I could change my tariff once per month with nothing saying I had to wait. I looked over my CPW small print & found nothing regarding the 3 month stated in the shop so I phoned Orange customer services & changed from my £50 tariff to my usual tariff of £16 with nothing said at all.

So I'll have to wait & see now if anything happens & fall back on last letter from Orange if needed.

Bought for £149.99 then one £50 then back to £16. Not as good as the zero price trick but still great if I get away with it.

@physixx, ignore the sales staff, most of them have no idea what they are talking about, they probably only told you this to save their commision.

FACT - Carphonewarehouse do not charge the customer clawback, Orange will screw them in the end though and they will be able to do sweet FA about it .

@ Physixx

sounds bang on matey.

All new connections, billing dates are set within the first 14 days so id make sure you set your DD date to like 20 days from the day your gonna do it, then you will be well away!!

hope that helps
