gbrooks3 , Thanks.
One more question : I am not at all an expert when it comes to UIQ/C++/or anything SE P900/910 has to do with. I just love using my 900.
But , now that you have 910 firmware on 900 which has considerably less RAM - do you forsee any problems because of that while running applications. or may be at a point when you have your phone's RAM almost 99% used, the 910 firmware might think that there is still plenty more. I dont know - but if the firmware believes its running on 910, then it might think so. Any problems because of this?

@krubach
that's true, but the damage is done. If the p910 software can be used on the p900 SE can't stop people from upgrading. Although I have my doubts about them releasing a new FW, since they are not very keen to do anything until absolutely necessary (hopefuly this is one of the occasions). We'll just have to wait and see.
@gbrooks3
Which PC Suite do you use (does it have to be v3) and can you use the p900 back-ups?

no i find everything to be in good order, infact i have just installed fileman and found that C: has 10.11M free.
i see this scenario very similar to that of t68 to t68i

Just a few people will do it !
That is why I asked if the p900 FW can be loaded afterwards from the official SE site. If that's possible noone at SE would ever know you were messing with the illegal FW.
I agree though only a fraction of p900 users will do it, since (at least in my country) most of them are bussinesmen who bought it because it was the most expensive gadget on the market. Kind of a status symbol that looks well with their expencive car.

ok then, if 910on900 handles > 128 MB memory add-on well, i will start my homework for this firmware upgrade. But the upper limit on add-on memory is going to be 256 MB, right?

ok, yes you can go back, dont know why you would want to but you can.
before everyone rushes in and buys the kit i think we should wait until the p910 update service is established and to see if SE will make a move, ignorence is bliss.
