Don't you reconize this phone is the James Bond phone? Used in Tomorrow Never Dies?

He jumped in the back of his 7-series MBW and drove his car using his finger on de black round 'touchpad'. At the large display he saw were his car was driving.

Looks quite nice, except the damages and the Scratches.... And if it only was working.....

But the damages/scratches would worry me most....

Cheers Mario

Too bad only a dummy.

A read on the internet that there were 3 phones with a working (static) display. All others (total 12 pieces) are 100% dummies.

@hanky:
there was no working JB988. They are only dummies. You can see that the signs are printed on the display.

Btw: I will return your phone during this week

@Ginz:
there were 12 units officially given to the movie company but probably at Ericsson there are a few more that we don't know about. I don't think that they produced exactly 12 units because they had an order of 12 units. AFAIK the units which have been given away after they made the movie all come with a certifica of autheticity. Since I know the source where you have got yours from, I think this is not one out of the known 12.

I also do think it's a possibility that there are more then 12. But we never saw anything about that.

I could also have been possibile that they trown away the certifica of autheticity. Also because it was just in a plastic bag with many other (normal) dummies.

Well, all JB988 have been dummies, but there have been some with working displays used in the movie. They had no phone-functions - just some animations on the display.

I think there are a lot of collectables we don't know about because they were never offially released or sold. There is probably a lot of beautiful stuff to find at former Ericsson workers because they brought things from work at home and just kept it. Look at my green T29: Nobody knew about it until a Ericsson worker from Malaysia told me that he's got 2 of them and that I can have them. This is surely not the only case.

But honestly: Especially these unknown items make collecting so great. I would be disappointed if someone told me that there are no further unknown collectables to discover.
