The K850 will need a different iSync Phone Plugin to the K800. All Sony Ericsson phones need separate plugins specific to the phone model.

Once you get your K850, contact us and we'll be able to help you sync it with iSync.

Has anyone found a way to manage the media on the K850i on mac?

I really want to be able to organise my photos into my own album structure but still using 'media' rather than 'file manager'.

I am "happy" to inform, that Apple has removed SMS and Call options through Bluetooth in the Address Book in Leopard, so from now on it's impossible to send text messages through Address book using for example Feisar plugins.

What a sad day.

I hope this can be fixed somehow.

Has anyone else had the problem of iCal events appearing one hour later on the K850i than they do in iCal after syncing with iSync?

AFAIK the K850i is set up properly with daylight saving and all that.. =/

This can only be caused by incorrect Time, Time zone or daylight savings setting.

Have a look below for the correct settings, then re-sync:

This is always a problem around when the clocks change.

Yeah it's a bit different on the K850 though. It just asked me for a location which I set to London, and the clock went back on it automatically as it should have..

So what do I do? Set the location to Paris or something and set the clock back an hour manually? =/

Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard recognises P990i as a 'card reader' and mounts phone's external memory card.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Not been around for a while [again!] but am posting this here and not in the SE forum because it is of specific interest to Mac users with the SE P990i.

I've just upgraded my Intel Mac to Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. I just connected my P990i to my Mac to see whether the OS upgrade had fixed the syncing issues.

Well it has to a point: put the phone in File Transfer mode and connect to your Mac via the usb cable. Lo and behold, it now mounts the external disk on the Mac desktop as an MS-DOS formatted volume.

So, in other words, OS X 10.5 now reads the phone's memory card using the phone as though it were a card reader! Yay! So file transfer at least is fixed for us neglected Mac users but still no syncing to my knowledge.

It's a start at least.

@Memzee

Yes, I think you should set the clock back 1 hour manually.

@wiccaman

Sony Ericsson released a P990 iSync plugin a few months back:

To anyone that has the same problem as me. Just set the TimeZone to GMT - 1 eg Greenland and manually put the clock an hour forward and re-sync.

Kind of a ugly way around it, and I don't see why it should be a problem in the first place but there you go.
