But for Sure the DECT Phones are quite too expensive. And they are not rare....

The DT412 might be the only one that sells...

But the DT292 Charger for 15Euro is just crazy...

Cheers....

@Boba:
you were asking for voice quality of the R190 past week. I tried out the phones for the first time. The GSM part is presumably compareable to series 8xx phones, the sound is clear and loud.

I don't think I will have the chance to test the satellite part in the near future: The ACeS network is only available in the Asian area. That's what ACeS says about their network coverage:

"The ACeS coverage area is over 11 million square miles extending from Pakistan and India in the west, to the Philippines and Papua New Guinea in the east, and from Japan and China in the north down to Indonesia in the south."

@All:
I've got a A1028sc in great condition for offer. It is labeled as prototype but it doesn't have the typical prototype IMEI which starts with 004601. Instead it comes with one of the very first regular IMEI numbers that had been assigned to the A1028sc: It is number 30. Feel free to make me any offers:

All images of this phone can be found at http://www.e-zones.net/image1803.php

@bart:
The A1028sc was a quite common model in Asian countries. The technology inside is the same as in our A1018s. This phone was there as normal as the A1018s was here in Europe.

I've got the A1028sc from a friend of mine who is living in Malaysia and once was a developer at Ericsson. His friend was responsible for the design of the A1028sc but he also admits that this phone was a mistake: The exchangeable front panels are quite fragile and break easily. That's why nowadays it is hard to find such a phone. Probably most people just threw their phone away when the front panels were cracked. It was a cheap consumer phone there, just like the A1018s, too.

The only funny thing is that I had this phone for quite a while not knowing that it's a prototype. I was waiting for a pair of front panels and now when I've got them, while taking the pictures I realized that it's not a regular phone but a prototype with a real special IMEI.
