I just checked again and all those work just fine. Didn't spend too much time on them though as I am quite happy withthe SE stand by screen.
There are 2 firmware versions in it (Software and custom), so I dunno which one you're looking for. But both are dated 14th september.

could you specify the sort of errors you're getting with the stand by screens? I can check.
Anyway, I have just confirmed that mine is not the last build and there is a newer firmware.

My Satio arrived half an hour ago. Beautiful device, though I wish they would not have switched to glossy plastic.

The menus show for an instant and immediately fade, falling back to standby. After a restart, the icons on the standby didn't show at all, but I could access the menu again via hardkey.
@luwi: Guess there are enough unboxing pics out there, mine is not different.

I did not pay for it, it's a review unit that I'm allowed to keep a whole year.

So s60 UI is fully customizable through themes actually It does. means we can change the battery and signal icons? Bec:se: changed the signal and battery icons differently unlike 5800 or N97.
Also I noticed Satio supports wallpaper animation which isn't supported by n95 don't know about 5800. Good work

Yep, S60 themes can totaly change the look of the UI, especialy themes made by PiZero and Babi who have been making excellent S60 Themes for years, they have customized icons in their latest themes for almost every S60v3 and V5 app available, also icons in the Music Player. Im currently using Blue Haze (Flahorn) by PiZero and its a fantastic theme, would look great on the Satio IMO.
Wallpaper animation is one of the new features in S60v3 FP2 and S60v5 AFAIK so 5800, N97, Satio, OmniaHD etc. . . .have it, correct me if im wrong though.

Interesting. I just went through all the other standby menu options and they worked perfectly. I could access the shortcuts on the desktop and also the main menu just fine. No idea what's wrong with your unit, mate.

There's no equalizer and no, only mono speaker. But it does a fair job!
